IDC Receptacle for Discrete or Ribbon Cable Harnesses
This IDC receptacle accepts 22-26 AWG wire, covering common signal gauges for ribbon cable or discrete wiring. The IDC termination presses the conductor into a slot that cuts through the insulation — no crimp tool or terminal required. For production harnesses this is fast, but the connection is permanent; field rework means cutting and re-terminating. The wire type is listed as discrete or ribbon cable, so it works with standard flat ribbon or individual wires as long as the OD fits the slot.
The closed-end feature prevents the cable from being pushed through the housing during assembly, which is a common issue on open-ended IDC connectors.
