Free-Hanging IDC Receptacle for Discrete or Ribbon Cable
The TE Connectivity AMPMODU MTE 5-103958-2 is a 3-position single-row receptacle that terminates 22-26 AWG wire via IDC — no crimp tool required for the socket contact. It accepts either discrete wires or ribbon cable, making it a flexible choice for small harness breakouts, sensor connections, or low-circuit-count signal runs where a board-mounted header is not an option.
The IDC termination pierces the insulation and grips the conductor in one operation; the 22-26 AWG range covers common signal wire sizes. The closed-end feature means the IDC slot terminates at a solid wall, so wire insertion depth is self-limiting and the stripped end cannot push through the back of the connector.
