It terminates 22-26 AWG discrete or ribbon cable via an IDC (Insulation Displacement Connection) — no wire stripping required, the insulation is pierced as the contacts are pressed into the housing. The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch matches standard 0.100" ribbon cable, making this a direct-fit for mass-termination harness builds. The closed-end housing and integral latch lock secure the connection to a mating pin header.
Wiring and Termination Check
This receptacle accepts 22-26 AWG wire — both discrete wires and standard 0.100" pitch ribbon cable. The IDC termination requires a compatible hand tool or press; the contacts are factory-loaded into the housing, so the wire is simply inserted and the cap pressed down. The single-row layout keeps the termination force low and the assembly compact.
