0.50mm pitch, 80 positions, right-angle SMT plug
The 5-1747257-3: Gold contact finish. Height above board is 0.187" (4.75mm).
At 0.50mm pitch, the pad-to-pad gap on the PCB is roughly 0.25mm after a typical 0.25mm pad width — tight enough that a via between pads on the same row is not possible without microvias or via-in-pad on the receptacle side. The dual-row layout (40 positions per row) keeps the connector footprint narrow, but the routing channels between rows are wide enough for one trace per column on a standard PCB layer. This saves vertical clearance above the receptacle — useful in mezzanine card stacks where the plug is on the motherboard and the receptacle on the daughter card.
This plug mates with a Fine Mate receptacle (outer shroud contacts, same 0.50mm pitch, dual-row). The right-angle SMT termination requires reflow soldering; the board guide aligns the part during placement, and the solder retention features anchor the pads against shear. The mating half is not included — confirm the receptacle part number for the target stack height.
