The 5-1814832-1: The gold-plated zinc alloy body and phosphor bronze centre contact with gold plating handle repeated mating cycles; the spec calls out 500 cycles.
The 3 GHz max frequency covers common ISM bands, GPS /L2, and cellular up to 2.7 GHz, but it will roll off above that; for 6 GHz work you need a different interface. The threaded coupling gives a vibration-resistant mate — the nut torques down to a repeatable compression on the PTFE washer, which keeps the centre contact force consistent across the 500-cycle life.
The shield termination is solder — no press-fit or crimp ring. That means the board footprint needs plated through-holes sized for the centre pin and the four ground legs; the shield barrel solders to the ground plane. In a production run, wave solder works; for a prototype, hand-solder with a hot iron and a flux pen. The gold body does not take solder well without flux — tin the pad first.
