Shielded RJ45 for 100 Base-T, Right-Angle Exit
The TE Connectivity 5-2301994-1 is a single-port RJ45 jack designed for 10/100 Base-T and AutoMDIX Ethernet applications. The shielded brass housing with integrated EMI fingers provides a low-impedance path to chassis ground, reducing radiated emissions from the unshielded twisted-pair cable. Four internal cores per jack handle the differential pairs for 100 Base-T (pins 1-2 and 3-6), with the remaining cores available for PoE or auxiliary signals.
Board Lock and Solder Retention
The liquid crystal polymer (LCP) housing withstands the reflow temperatures of the solder process without distortion.
Temperature Range and Deployment
The LCP housing and brass shield do not degrade over that range; the gold contacts resist corrosion in humid or mildly corrosive environments.
