1-Port Shielded RJ45 for 10/100 Base-T, with Board Lock
The TE Connectivity 5-2301994-9 is a single-port RJ45 jack designed for 10/100 Base-T and AutoMDIX Ethernet applications. It is a right-angle, through-hole mount connector with a full shield and EMI fingers on the shell, plus a board lock feature for mechanical retention during soldering and in-service vibration. The jack carries four cores per port and is terminated by solder to the PCB.
Shielding and Mechanical Retention
The brass shield with integrated EMI fingers provides a low-impedance path to chassis ground, reducing radiated emissions from the unshielded twisted-pair cable. The LED indicators — green, yellow-green, and yellow — give link and activity status visible from the panel edge.
