Single-Port Shielded RJ45 Jack for 10/100 Base-T
The TE Connectivity 5-2301995-3 is a single-port, vertical-mount RJ45 jack rated for 10/100 Base-T and AutoMDIX applications. It sits in the 2301995 series of shielded modular jacks, built around a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) housing with a brass shield.
Shielding and Contact Plating
The brass shield provides EMI containment for the 10/100 Base-T signal pair, which keeps radiated emissions within Class A limits in an enclosure. The four cores per jack map to the two differential pairs that 10/100 Base-T uses; the centre two pins are unused in this speed class.
Environmental Range and Mechanical Retention
The board lock anchors the shield tabs into the plated through-holes during wave solder, taking shear and vibration loads off the signal pins.
