What this 20-position IDC receptacle does in a harness
The locking ramp holds the pair mated against vibration in a cabinet or panel harness.
Termination and wiring — IDC on 22 AWG
It accepts 22 AWG wire, either discrete strands or ribbon cable. The closed-end feature means the far side of the housing is sealed, preventing wire stubs from poking through.
This receptacle mates with any standard MTA-100 header (0.100" pitch, single-row, male pins). No secondary lock or TPA is required; the IDC termination and the latch are the full retention system. The red housing colour is a visual key for the 20-position variant in a multi-wire harness.
