Panel wiring and harness fit
The TE Connectivity AMPLIMITE HD-20 5-747909-2 is a 15-position D-sub receptacle with female sockets, designed for free-hanging in-line installation. It terminates via solder cups — each contact gets a tinned wire tail soldered directly, no crimp tool needed. The shell size is 2 (DA, A), the standard DA-15 footprint. Gold plating on the contacts (8.00µin) and a brass base material keep contact resistance low across repeated mates.
Mating half and hardware
This receptacle mates with the AMPLIMITE HD-20 plug, order code 5-747908-2 — same 15 positions, same DA shell size, same solder cup termination. The flange on this receptacle is unthreaded (housing/shell type), so you will need separate 4-40 jack-screws or a slide-lock to secure the pair. No backshell is included; if the application calls for cable strain relief or EMI shielding, a separate AMPLIMITE backshell kit is required.
