The beryllium copper contact material gives it good spring retention over repeated insertions, and the 100.0µin tin finish provides a solderable surface that also resists corrosion in moderate environments.
Thermal and mounting fit
Rated from -65°C to 126°C, this socket handles thermal cycling from cold-soak to underhood heat without losing contact force. The mounting hole diameter is 0.101" to 0.103" (2.57mm to 2.62mm) — a standard #43 drill or 2.6mm PCB hole works. Solder termination with no tail means the socket sits flush on the board; the closed bottom prevents solder wicking up into the contact area.
