Pin Diameter Range and Contact Design
The 50863-4 accepts pin diameters from 0.014" to 0.026" (0.36mm to 0.66mm), covering common component leads and test pins. Closed bottom construction prevents solder from wicking into the socket during wave or hand soldering, keeping the contact bore clean for the mating pin. The no-tail design means the socket body sits flush on the PCB — no protruding tails to bend or break during handling.
Solder termination with a mounting hole diameter of 0.052" (1.32mm) and a flange diameter of 0.070" (1.77mm). The socket depth is 0.247" (6.27mm), and the overall length is 0.260" (6.60mm) — a compact footprint for dense PCB layouts.
