PCI 3.3V 64-Bit Edge Connector — 184 Positions at 0.050" Pitch
The TE Connectivity 5145165-8 is a Standard Edge.050 female card edge connector built for a 64-bit PCI slot running at 3.3V signalling. It carries 184 positions across two rows — dual readout, meaning contacts on both sides of the card — at a tight 0.050" (1.27mm) pitch. The card slot accepts a standard 0.062" (1.57mm) thick PCB, the typical stack-up for a PCI add-in card. The housing is natural thermoplastic with an integral board guide that steers the card edge into the contact gap, preventing the fine-pitch contacts from bending on insertion. Termination is through-hole, staggered across the two rows — the staggered layout spreads the solder joints so the board designer can route traces between the plated-through holes without crowding at this pitch.
This connector is the motherboard-side receptacle for a PCI 3.3V 64-bit add-in card. The mating half is the card edge itself — the gold fingers on the PCB — so there is no separate plug housing to source. The keying and position layout (11, 49, 32 positions per bay/row) match the PCI 3.3V 64-bit slot definition; a 5V card will not seat correctly. The 0.062" card thickness is fixed by the contact gap — do not use a board thinner or thicker than spec or the contact force will be wrong. The through-hole tails are staggered, so the PCB footprint must match the staggered pattern in the product drawing — a standard inline footprint will not align.
