184-Position PCI Card Edge at 0.050" Pitch
The TE Connectivity 5145169-8 is a 184-position female card edge connector from the Standard Edge.050 series, designed for PCI 5V 64-bit bus applications. The 0.050" (1.27mm) pitch and dual-readout contacts match the edge finger layout of a standard PCI add-in card, while the staggered solder tails reduce routing congestion through the board. The connector accepts a 0.062" (1.57mm) thick PCB and includes integrated board locks that anchor the part during wave solder and resist shear from repeated card insertion.
PCI 5V 64-Bit Keying and Readout
The 184 positions are split across three bays — 49, 11, and 32 per row — to match the PCI 5V 64-bit keying scheme. The dual readout means each edge finger on the card contacts two opposing spring beams, doubling the contact redundancy per circuit.
Board Lock Staggered Termination
Through-hole staggered termination spreads the solder joints across two rows, reducing the risk of solder bridging between adjacent pins at 0.050" pitch. The board locks on the mounting ears snap into plated through-holes, holding the connector flat against the board during wave solder and providing mechanical strain relief against the insertion force of the mating card.
