Board-to-Board Mezzanine Connector for Dense Stacking
The receptacle uses outer shroud contacts — the mating interface is shroud-guided, which protects the signal pins during alignment.
Stacking Height Flexibility and Board Guide
The board guide feature provides mechanical alignment during assembly, taking shear forces off the SMT solder joints. On a 160-position connector, that alignment matters: a misaligned mate can bend contacts or crack solder fillets. The 0.148" (3.75mm) height above board keeps the profile low enough for tight enclosures while allowing the stacking height range via the mating plug height selection.
SMT Termination and Assembly Considerations
Surface mount termination suits automated pick-and-place assembly. The tube packaging is standard for hand-loading or vibratory feeders — not tape-and-reel, so plan for tube handling on the line. ROHS3 compliance covers the European material restrictions without exemption.
