The TE Connectivity 5207952-1 is a jackscrew socket from the AMPLIMITE HD series, supplied as a hardware accessory for D-subminiature connectors. It provides the threaded locking mechanism that secures the plug to the receptacle, preventing vibration-induced disconnection in panel-mount and cable assemblies. Each bag contains two complete sets, each set including one 4-40 socket and one 4-40 screw, with a length below head of 0.250" (6.35 mm) — sized to engage the mating thread through standard D-sub shell thicknesses.
Thread Fit and Compatibility
The 4-40 thread size is the standard UNC thread used across the AMPLIMITE HD family and most standard-density D-sub connectors. The 0.250" length below head provides enough reach to pass through the connector shell and engage the mating jackscrew or hex nut without bottoming out. These jackscrews are intended for use with AMPLIMITE Series HD connectors — the thread pitch and shell clearance match that series.
