Foil barrel terminal for 14-16 AWG — what it fits
The 52195 is a foil barrel terminal from TE Connectivity's Solistrand and Termi-Foil series, designed to terminate foil conductors or flat flexible circuits to a wire lead. It accepts 14-16 AWG wire and provides a defined foil crimp area of 0.454" x 0.708" (11.53mm x 17.98mm) — this is the zone where the foil tab is inserted and crimped, not the wire barrel. The nickel-plated copper barrel resists corrosion in moderate environments, and the overall length of 0.989" (25.12mm) gives enough body for the crimp tool to grip without overhang.
Crimp area and wire gauge — the fit check
The foil crimp area is the critical dimension: 0.454" x 0.708" (11.53mm x 17.98mm) means the foil tab must fit within that rectangle. The wire barrel accepts 14-16 AWG stranded or solid conductor — the terminal is not rated for smaller or larger gauges.
