Crimp termination, insulated spade
The 52949-3 is a Plasti-Grip spade terminal from TE Connectivity AMP Connectors, accepting 16-22 AWG wire with a #6 stud size. The crimp termination secures the tin-plated brass contact; the serrated inner barrel grips the conductor for pull-out resistance. Red PVC insulation covers the crimp barrel and a portion of the wire, with an insulation diameter range of 0.150" to 0.200" (3.81 mm to 5.08 mm). Overall length is 0.860" (21.84 mm); the tongue inside opening measures 0.140" (3.56 mm).
