The 52963-5 is the #10 stud member of TE's Plasti-Grip spade terminal line, accepting 10-12 AWG wire with a yellow PVC insulation sleeve. The tin-plated brass contact carries a serrated termination for grip on the conductor, and the free-hanging crimp termination suits field assembly.
Both are #10 stud Plasti-Grip spade terminals for 10-12 AWG, but the 52963-1 accepts a narrower insulation diameter range (0.105" to 0.200") versus the 52963-5's 0.250" to 0.300" range. Overall length also differs: 0.601" for the 52963-1 versus 1.159" for the 52963-5.
