This right-angle through-hole version saves height in enclosures where a straight jack would force a taller lid or a secondary cable loop. The center contact is beryllium copper with gold plating, paired with a zinc body finished in nickel and a polymethylpentene (PMP) dielectric. It's specced to 4 GHz with a 500 V voltage rating, covering most video, RF instrumentation, and baseband data links.
The center contact also terminates by solder, so this is a hand-solder or wave-solder part. The right-angle orientation puts the BNC interface parallel to the board, which means the cable runs flat along the enclosure wall. The through-hole leads give a solid mechanical anchor; the board footprint needs to accommodate the right-angle body and the solder posts.
