Connector identity and RF fit
The TE Connectivity 5415006-2 is an SMB jack with a male pin — not a BNC, despite the snap-on coupling that looks similar. It's built for RG-316 cable, terminated by crimp, and rated for 50 Ohm impedance up to 4 GHz.
Mounting and mechanicals
Panel-mount with a bulkhead flange secured by the front-side nut — the lockwasher keeps it from backing off under vibration. The snap-on fastening gives quick connect/disconnect in the field, and the 500 mating cycle rating means it'll hold up to regular test-bench or portable-equipment use without the gold plating wearing through.
Materials and environment
Nickel body finish resists corrosion in lab or light industrial environments. Gold-plated centre contact keeps insertion loss down to 0.3 dB at 4 GHz — clean signal path for RF test gear or short-run coax links.
