The TE Connectivity 552488-1 is a 64-position IDC plug from the CHAMP.085 series, designed for mass-termination to 0.085-inch pitch ribbon cable. The free-hanging (in-line) body and integral 4-40 threaded flange let you screw-lock the plug to the matching receptacle — a practical detail when the cable assembly runs through a cabinet with vibration or accidental pull risk.
IDC Termination and Contact Finish

This plug mounts free-hanging — no PCB footprint, no panel cutout. The 4-40 threaded flange on the housing/shell mates with the corresponding threads on the CHAMP.085 receptacle, giving you a screw-locked joint that resists loosening under cable strain. The 64-contact, 2-row arrangement means the mating receptacle will also be a 64-position CHAMP.085 center-strip connector with the same flange pattern.
