Style C is the most common DIN 41612 contact arrangement — three rows with 32 contacts per row, for a total of 96 positions. If your backplane design calls for a different contact arrangement (Style B with 32 or 64 positions, or Style R with inverse contacts), this part will not mate — the keying and pinout differ by style.
