It is a power-only header — the contact layout is 8 power positions, meaning every blade carries bus-level current rather than mixed signal and power. The 0.236" (6.00 mm) pitch gives generous creepage for the 30 V rating, though the real value of that wide pitch is mechanical robustness: the blades are large enough to handle repeated mating in a backplane environment without bending. The housing carries a board guide feature to align the header during blind-mate assembly into a backplane card cage.
