Futurebus Power Receptacle, 10 Positions, Press-Fit Termination
It uses female blade sockets arranged in 5 rows, with a 0.236" (6.00mm) pitch that provides ample creepage for the 30 V rating. The press-fit termination eliminates soldering — the compliant pin cold-forms into the plated through-hole, which is the standard for backplane builds where rework access and high-reliability matter.
All 10 positions are loaded as power contacts — the contact layout is 10 Power, meaning every blade carries DC rail current rather than signal.
Board Guide and Spacer Features
The receptacle includes a board guide and spacer as integral features. The board guide aligns the connector during blind-mating in a backplane card cage, taking shear forces off the press-fit pins. The spacer sets the standoff height between the daughtercard and backplane, controlling the mated stack geometry.
