Jackscrew Socket for CHAMP Latch D-Sub Connectors
The TE Connectivity 554808-1 is a jackscrew socket accessory from the CHAMP Latch series, designed for use with CHAMP Latch D-Sub connectors. It provides the threaded fastening hardware needed to secure the connector pair against vibration and maintain shield continuity in panel-mount applications. The kit includes both an M3.5 socket and a 6-32 screw thread, giving you the option to match either metric or imperial panel hardware without swapping the screw lock assembly.
This screw lock kit mates with CHAMP Latch D-Sub connectors — the same family used in high-density I/O applications where a positive latch replaces the traditional slide-lock. The dual-thread design means you can use it with a panel tapped for M3.5 or one with 6-32 threaded holes, a common split in European and North American equipment. The 0.380" length below head accommodates standard D-Sub panel thicknesses up to about 0.060" with room for a lock washer. If your panel is thicker, check the 0.320" threaded engagement against your thread depth before committing.
