The TE Connectivity 5558066-1 is a modular jack with a 10P10C (RJ50) contact arrangement — 10 positions, 10 conductors — in a single-row, right-angle through-hole package. This is the less common 10-contact variant of the modular jack family, distinct from the 8P8C RJ45 used in Ethernet. The jack is unshielded and carries a board guide and keying feature on the housing to prevent mis-mating with standard 8-position plugs. Gold plating at 50.0µin (1.27µm) over a phosphor bronze contact gives this jack the cycle life for repeated field connections in equipment like point-of-sale terminals, telecom test gear, and serial data interfaces that use the 10-position pinout.
