15-Position D-Sub Receptacle, Gold Flash Contacts, 6A Rating
The 5745185-1: Rated 6A per contact at 125V, it handles signal-level and low-power interconnects in control panels, industrial equipment, and data-communications gear where a reliable threaded-flange D-Sub is the expected interface. The gold flash contacts on phosphor bronze base metal suit moderate mating-cycle duty — enough for field-service connections but not the thousands of cycles a heavy-gold contact would carry.
This receptacle mounts through-hole and terminates with solder cups — the standard termination for panel-mount D-Sub connectors where the cable is soldered directly to the contact tail. The shell carries an unthreaded flange (housing/shell style), meaning the mating plug uses threaded inserts or a separate screw-lock kit for panel retention. The steel shell with tin plating provides EMI shielding continuity when mated to a matching D-Sub plug with a conductive shell. The 15-position layout follows the DA shell size footprint, so the PCB hole pattern and panel cut-out are the same as any standard 15-pin D-Sub.
