D-Sub Receptacle, 25 Positions, Right-Angle Solder
The TE Connectivity 5745392-2 is a 25-position D-Sub receptacle from the AMPLIMITE HD-20 series, designed for board-edge or panel-mount applications where a right-angle through-hole termination saves vertical space. The connector uses two rows of female sockets with 30.0 µin gold-over-nickel plating on phosphor bronze contacts, rated for 6 A per circuit at 125 V. The shell includes threaded 4-40 inserts (housing/shell flange) for secure mating with the corresponding plug.
Right-Angle Mounting and Board Fit
The through-hole solder tails are on standard D-sub footprint spacing; the 4-40 threaded inserts allow a jack-screw lock to the plug for vibration resistance.
Contact Plating and Current Duty
The 6 A per contact rating is per the UL temperature rise limit; in practice, derate for bundling or ambient above 105°C. The phosphor bronze base metal provides good spring retention over temperature swings.
