This is the plug half for a cable-to-board D-sub interconnect, common in industrial control, serial communication, and instrumentation where a field-serviceable, screw-lock-secured connection is needed.
The unthreaded housing flange accepts standard D-sub screw-lock hardware (4-40 UNC) for vibration-resistant mating; the hardware is not included. Termination is solder to through-hole PCB pads — the right-angle pins exit the rear of the shell and bend 90 degrees to sit flat on the board.
