Mini DIN Receptacle for Shielded Signal Paths
It mounts through-hole at a right angle to the PCB, suiting board-edge placement in space-constrained enclosures like AV receivers, set-top boxes, or test equipment. The shell is thermoplastic with UL94 V-0 flammability rating, and the mating contacts are gold-plated to 30.0µin (0.76µm) — thick enough for repeated mating cycles in field-service or production test jigs.
The board lock feature holds the connector in place during soldering and adds mechanical retention against cable strain after assembly. The push-pull fastening type is standard for Mini DIN — no screw lock, just a friction fit with the mating plug's spring-loaded latch.
Shielding and Environmental Fit
The shell is shielded, which helps contain EMI from the signal lines inside the connector — useful for analog audio or low-voltage video where noise pickup degrades signal quality.
