AMPLIMITE HDP-20 Plug Housing for Male Contacts
The TE Connectivity AMPLIMITE HDP-20 5750636-1 is a D-sub plug housing designed to accept male crimp contacts. It carries 15 positions arranged in two rows and uses the standard DA shell layout (shell size 2). The housing is black, moulded from glass-filled polyamide, and ships in bulk. This is the plug (male contact) half of a D-sub pair. It mates with a standard 15-position D-sub receptacle housing that accepts female contacts. The cable-side 4-40 threaded flange provides the locking and grounding interface — matching the jack-screw hardware on the receptacle side. The housing includes a backshell, grounding indents, and an integral shield — the steel shell is tin-plated with a plating thickness of 200 µinch (5.08 µm). This makes the assembly suitable for applications requiring EMI containment or EMC compliance in cable harnesses.
Sourcing — Housing Only, Contacts Sold Separately
The AMPLIMITE HDP-20 series offers several contact plating options — tin for standard duty, gold for higher mating-cycle or corrosive-environment applications.
Shielded D-Sub Housing for Cable Harness Assembly
The steel shell with tin plating and the built-in grounding indents let this housing serve as a shielded interconnect in cable assemblies where EMI filtering or shield termination is required. The backshell provides strain relief and covers the termination area. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting style suits it for cable-to-panel or cable-to-cable D-sub connections.
