50-Position Shielded D-Sub Plug with IDC Termination
It uses a 0.050 inch pitch with 0.100 inch row-to-row spacing, giving it a compact footprint for high-density signal interconnects in shielded harness assemblies. The steel shell with tin-nickel plating, combined with the terminating cover, provides EMI shielding for the cable assembly.
IDC Termination and Shielding
Termination is IDC (insulation displacement) for discrete wire — no crimp tool or contact insertion step needed. The terminating cover presses the wires into the slot contacts and acts as a strain-relief backshell. This makes the 5750913-5 a field-terminable option for shielded D-sub cable assemblies where soldering or crimping is impractical. The free-hanging (in-line) mount suits it for cable-to-panel or cable-to-cable connections where the plug is the moving half. Mates with the matching AMPLIMITE.050 III receptacle (sold separately).
