USB-A Stacked Receptacle for Dual-Port Panel-Mount Applications
It is designed for through-hole, right-angle mounting with a horizontal orientation, meaning the USB plug inserts parallel to the PCB plane. Rated for 1500 mating cycles, it suits equipment that sees daily plug/unplug duty — kiosks, test fixtures, or front-panel I/O on industrial controllers.
Each contact is rated 1 A at 30 VAC — the USB 2.0 specification's standard power delivery, not a high-current bus. Contact finish is gold or gold-palladium, which maintains low contact resistance across the 1500-cycle life.
The board lock provides mechanical retention during the solder process and resists the lever force from a mated cable. The steel or stainless shell shields the USB signal path and provides the ground return.
USB 2.0 Only — Not Compatible with USB 3.0
It does not have the additional high-speed contacts required for USB 3.0 or 3.1. Attempting to use it in a USB 3.0 application will limit the link to USB 2.0 signalling rates. If your design requires SuperSpeed data rates, look for a USB 3.0-rated stacked receptacle with 9 or more contacts per port.
