The vertical mounting feature means the USB cable inserts perpendicular to the PCB, which suits panel-mount or edge-located ports where the cable exits straight out from the board. The natural insulation colour and UL94 V-0 flammability rating meet standard enclosure requirements.
USB 2.0 — Not USB 3.0 Compatible
It is not electrically or mechanically compatible with USB 3.0 Type-B connectors, which have additional contacts for SuperSpeed signals and a different internal geometry. If your design requires USB 3.0, you need a different receptacle.
