It mates with the standard DE-9 receptacle shell layout, making it the male half for a DB-9 serial, instrumentation, or industrial control interconnect.
Through-hole right-angle solder termination — the pins are long enough for a solid solder fillet on the PCB bottom side. The flange uses a Mating Side, Female Screwlock (4-40) pattern, so you secure the mating receptacle with standard 4-40 jackscrews. The steel shell is tin-plated for solderability and corrosion resistance. Package is tray — typical for machine placement or hand-loading in low-to-medium volume assembly.
