15-Position Right-Angle D-Sub for Board-Edge I/O
This connector style is the standard for serial and parallel I/O ports, industrial control interfaces, and data-communication panels where a rugged, shielded connection is needed. The 15-position count matches the classic DA shell size, giving you two rows of contacts in a compact footprint that fits legacy and new designs alike.
This receptacle mates with a standard 15-position D-sub plug (male) having the DA shell size and 4-40 threaded inserts. The flange feature with 4-40 threaded holes accepts the mating plug's jackscrews, locking the pair together against vibration. Termination is solder-cup style — strip and tin each wire, insert into the cup, and flow solder. The right-angle pins are on 0.318" (8.08 mm) backset spacing, which sets the distance from the PCB edge to the connector face.
