14-Position IDC Receptacle for Discrete or Ribbon Cable
The TE Connectivity AMPMODU MTE 6-103644-3 is a 14-position, single-row receptacle designed for mass-termination of discrete or ribbon cable via IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact). The female socket contacts are plated with 15.0 µ" (0.38 µm) gold, which gives the interconnect a solid mating-cycle life for field-serviceable harnesses — not a one-crimp-and-forget part.
No individual crimp operation, no loose terminals to handle. The wire gauge range is 22-26 AWG, covering the typical ribbon cable and discrete wire sizes used in internal signal harnesses. The housing accepts discrete or ribbon cable, so it works for both point-to-point wiring and multi-conductor flat cable runs. The closed-end feature on the housing prevents the cable from pushing through the back during termination.
Free-hanging (in-line) mounting — the receptacle floats in the harness, not fixed to a panel or board. For a harness builder, the key check is that the mating header is also on the AMPMODU MTE series at 0.100" pitch and in a 14-position, single-row configuration. The black housing colour is a visual identifier on the assembly line, not a functional spec.
