Flag terminal for 0.250" tabs
The 60583-2 is a female flag terminal in TE's Faston series, designed for 0.250" (6.35mm) male tabs with a 0.032" (0.81mm) thickness. It accepts 10-12 AWG wire and terminates with a crimp, mounting free-hanging at a right angle — the flag orientation routes the wire parallel to the tab face.
Tab width and wire range across the series
Within the Faston flag terminal family the 60583-2's 0.250" tab width matches the 61227-1 and 63445-1, but the 60529-1 uses a narrower 0.187" (4.75mm) tab — the 60583-2 carries a heavier wire range (10-12 AWG) than the 60529-1 (16-20 AWG) or the 63445-1 (12-18 AWG).
