What This Terminal Is and Where It Goes
The TE Connectivity Amp-Edge 60704-1 is a crimp-style edge disconnect terminal — a blade-shaped contact that slides onto a PCB edge tab or a mating receptacle blade, giving you a quick-disconnect point right at the board edge. It's the kind of terminal you reach for when you need a serviceable wire-to-board connection that can be broken and re-made without desoldering, common in appliance control boards, power supply distribution, and automotive junction boxes where a ring lug under a screw isn't the right fit. The 18-22 AWG wire range covers the typical power and signal feeds in those applications.
Crimping and Wiring This Terminal
The terminal accepts solid or stranded wire in that gauge range; strip length follows the crimp barrel depth on the product drawing. Tape & Reel packaging feeds automated crimp presses for production volume; Cut Tape works for bench-top crimp tools or small-batch harness builds.
