0.058" Pin Diameter — Press-Fit Single Post for Through-Hole Boards
The 60803-1 is a non-insulated single post pin from TE Connectivity AMP, designed for press-fit termination into a through-hole PCB. The 0.058" (1.47mm) diameter above the flange mates with standard female receptacles or wire-wrap posts, while the 0.150" (3.81mm) length below the flange accommodates board thicknesses from 0.062" to 0.093" (1.57mm to 2.36mm). The flanged design provides a positive stop during insertion, preventing over-press and ensuring consistent standoff height. The press-fit termination eliminates solder — the interference fit between the pin and the plated through-hole creates the mechanical and electrical connection. This suits high-reliability assemblies where rework or field replacement is expected, as the pin can be pressed out and replaced without desoldering.
30µin Gold Plating — Mating Cycle Life for Field-Service Duty
The gold finish also resists corrosion in mildly aggressive atmospheres (industrial cabinets, outdoor telecom enclosures) where tin-plated contacts would develop oxide film and increase contact resistance over time.

PCB Hole Size and Board Fit
The mounting hole diameter range is 0.046" ~ 0.050" (1.17mm ~ 1.27mm). The press-fit pin requires a plated through-hole within this range to achieve the correct interference fit — too tight and the pin deforms on insertion, too loose and the retention force drops below specification.
