Ring terminal for 14-18 AWG, #8 stud
The 61794-4: The brass contact is 0.025" (0.64mm) thick with inner teeth and serrated termination for grip on the conductor.
Inner teeth and serrated termination
The inner teeth bite into the wire strands during crimping, and the serrated termination provides additional retention — the insulation diameter range is 0.105" to 0.145" (2.67mm to 3.68mm).
Sibling terminals at the same wire gauge
The 61794-4 uses a 0.025" (0.64mm) thick brass contact; the sibling 640102-1 uses 0.030" (0.76mm) thickness and accepts a larger insulation diameter (0.140" to 0.190"), while the 140546 uses 0.024" (0.61mm) thickness with a slightly narrower insulation range (0.098" to 0.138"). All three are non-insulated, 14-18 AWG, free-hanging ring terminals for #8 studs.
