The TE Connectivity 6274127-1 is a 75 Ohm BNC jack, female socket, built for video distribution, baseband telecom, and test equipment where the impedance match to 75 Ohm coax (RG-59, RG-6) is critical. The 75 Ohm impedance is the key differentiator here — this is the standard for SDI video and broadcast, not the 50 Ohm common in RF bench gear. Rated to 4 GHz, it covers the full SDI bandwidth (up to 12G-SDI with the right cable) and then some.
Signal path and electrical ratings
The 500-cycle gold centre contact holds up to repeated patching in a test bay or patch panel without the signal degradation you'd see from tin plating after a few hundred insertions.
Body is zinc with nickel finish, silver in colour. The shield termination is solder, so you get a solid ground connection to the board plane. Tray packaging, one port.
Active lifecycle status. No official successor or cross-reference.
