Stamped Pin Contact for Multimate III+ Housings

Wire Fit and Termination
The 16-18 AWG wire gauge range is the mechanical fit gate — the crimp barrel is sized for that conductor cross-section, so stripping the right wire and using the correct crimp tool is what keeps the terminal from backing out under vibration. Termination is solder, which means the contact is intended for a soldered joint after crimping, not a purely mechanical crimp-and-poke assembly.
Gold Plating and Duty Cycle
The brass base material gives a good balance of conductivity and spring properties for the stamped beam.
