Barrier block for panel wiring
The TE Connectivity 6PCV-05-006 is a 5-circuit barrier strip from the #6 Buchanan series, built for terminated power and control wiring inside an enclosure. 0.375" (9.53mm) pitch gives the standard spacing for this terminal block class — the screw terminals accept 12-22 AWG wire and clamp down with steel screws finished in zinc clear chromate. Rated 25A at 300V, with a three-wall (tri) barrier that prevents turn-to-turn shorts between adjacent circuits.
Sizing the wire and the termination
Top termination uses screws, so the wire is stripped, inserted under the clamp plate, and torqued down. The 25A rating holds at the full 12 AWG end of the range; derate as the wire gauge gets smaller and the ambient temperature climbs toward the 105°C operating limit. Black housing, single row, one wire entry per circuit — no shared terminals, no daisy-chaining through the block.
