The 6PCV-07-006 is a 7-circuit barrier strip from the Buchanan #6 series, built for power distribution and field-wiring termination. The 0.375" (9.53mm) pitch gives each terminal enough spacing to handle the 25 A per circuit rating without heat buildup between adjacent wires — sized for a main power rail or a distribution point inside an industrial control cabinet. The 3-wall (tri) barrier between each position prevents a stripped wire from creeping over and shorting to the next terminal, which matters when the guy on the floor is landing stranded 12 AWG under a screw. The through-hole PC pin bottom termination means this strip solders into a PCB — the pins go through plated holes and get wave-soldered, not crimped or press-fit.
The 300 V rating between adjacent circuits is the working voltage limit; for a 7-circuit strip that gives you a common bus bar with six taps off it, each rated to 300 V line-to-line. The 0.375" pitch provides enough creepage distance to hold that voltage without tracking across the thermoplastic surface, even in a dusty cabinet. The 12-22 AWG wire range covers the common field-wiring sizes for a 25 A circuit. The screw clamp accepts solid or stranded wire.
Mounting and Termination — PCB Layout Notes
The through-hole PC pins on 0.375" centers define the PCB footprint. Each pin is a straight round post that goes through a plated hole and gets soldered on the bottom side. The single-row layout means the board needs a row of 7 holes at 0.375" pitch, with enough keep-out around each pad for the solder fillet. The 105°C operating temperature rating means the strip can sit next to warm components on the board without derating the current. The black thermoplastic body has no integral mounting ears — the PC pins are the only mechanical retention to the board. For a 7-circuit strip carrying 25 A per circuit, the total pull force on the pins from wire insertion and screw torque is significant; the PCB pads and hole plating need to be robust enough to handle that load without lifting. The UL94 V-0 material won't propagate a flame if the board sees a fault condition.
