9-circuit barrier strip for power distribution — 25A per circuit at 300V
The TE Connectivity 6PCV-09-006 is a 9-circuit barrier strip from the #6 Buchanan series, designed for panel-mount power distribution where a screw-clamp termination on the field side and a PC pin on the board side is the standard. The 3-wall (tri) barrier between each position provides additional creepage and physical isolation, reducing the risk of accidental shorting between adjacent conductors in a 300V environment.
25A per circuit means each screw terminal can carry the full load current of a 12 AWG conductor at the rated temperature — sized for a power distribution block or a machine control panel, not a signal line. The 105°C operating temperature gives headroom in a warm cabinet or near a transformer — derate the current above 105°C per the manufacturer's curve if the ambient is higher.
Mounting — through-hole with 0.375" pitch
The strip mounts through-hole to the PCB. The 0.375" (9.53mm) pitch between the PC pins matches the terminal spacing, so the board layout needs a row of 9 plated holes at that pitch. The black thermoplastic body stands off the board; no additional insulator is needed under the strip.
