Product details

12-Circuit Barrier Strip, 0.375" Pitch, 25 A — Panel Wiring Workhorse

The TE Connectivity Buchanan 6PCV-12-006 is a 12-circuit barrier strip from the #6 series, built for terminating power and control wiring in industrial panels, distribution boxes, and HVAC equipment. The 3-wall (tri) barrier isolates each position, so a stray screwdriver or loose strand can't bridge adjacent circuits — a practical safety feature when the panel is live during troubleshooting.

Termination and Wire Range — Screws Top, PC Pins Bottom

Top termination uses steel screws with zinc clear chromate finish, clamping down on 12-22 AWG wire. The bottom termination is PC pin — through-hole pins that solder into the PCB, giving a permanent mechanical and electrical connection. The 12-position single-row layout means one wire entry per circuit, no daisy-chaining through the block itself. For mixed-gauge panels, the 12-22 AWG range covers both 12 AWG branch feeders and 22 AWG thermostat or sensor leads in the same strip.

25 A per circuit is the continuous rating at the 105°C operating limit of the thermoplastic housing. The 300 V rating is the insulation class between adjacent circuits and from circuit to ground.

Frequently asked questions

Can the 6PCV-12-006 handle 12 AWG wire and 300V rating in practice?

Yes — the wire range is 12-22 AWG, and the 300 V rating is the insulation class between circuits and to ground. The 25 A per-circuit rating at the 105°C operating limit of the thermoplastic housing confirms it handles 12 AWG branch circuits at 300 V without derating issues in a standard industrial cabinet.
