14-Circuit Barrier Block for Panel Wiring
The TE Connectivity 6WWV-14-008 is a 14-circuit barrier strip from the #6, Buchanan series, designed for point-to-point wiring in industrial control panels, power distribution, and equipment interconnection. The 0.375" (9.53mm) pitch provides adequate creepage for the 300V rating while keeping the overall block length manageable for a 14-position assembly. Rated 25A per circuit, this block handles motor starter feeds, heater loads, and branch circuit distribution within a cabinet — the current rating is the limiting factor for the wire gauge range of 12-22 AWG, with 12 AWG carrying the full 25A and 22 AWG derated by the conductor itself.
Tri-Barrier Construction and Termination
The 3 Wall (Tri) barrier design places an insulating wall between each terminal position, increasing creepage distance and preventing wire strands from shorting to adjacent circuits — a practical advantage when terminating stranded conductors in a crowded panel. Top termination uses screws with captive plates, meaning the pressure plate stays captured in the screw during loosening, so it does not drop out or get lost during field wiring. Bottom termination is wire wrap, intended for backplane or PCB connections where a gas-tight wrap around a square post is the standard.
