What the 25A and 300V Ratings Mean for Your Panel
At 25A, the 12 AWG wire is near its ampacity limit in free air — expect to use 12 AWG for full-rated current, and derate if the ambient inside the enclosure exceeds 105°C. The 300V rating is typical for industrial control circuits (UL 508) and lighting distribution; it is not a 600V class block, so confirm the system voltage before specifying. The UL94 V-0 flammability rating means the housing will not sustain a flame after ignition, which is required for equipment installed inside a panel without additional fire enclosure.
Wire Gauge and Termination — What Fits
The block accepts solid or stranded wire from 12 AWG to 22 AWG. The top termination uses steel, stainless screws — the same screw clamps found on standard Buchanan strips — which provide a gas-tight connection when torqued to the manufacturer's specification. For 15 circuits, the block has 15 wire entries, one per position. No special tooling is needed beyond a screwdriver and a wire stripper.
